Evia is the second largest island and the sixth largest in the Mediterranean. The island is 3,654 square kilometers with a population of approximately 215,000 inhabitants. A variety of forests, rivers and beaches and many archaeological attractions await its visitors.

The average temperature in Evia is ranging from 7 degrees Celsius (46F) in January to 27 degrees (81F) in July and August. Summer tourism lasts mainly from May to October with peak months of July and August, winter tourism runs mainly from November to March.
